3 Ways to Connect JBL Speakers Together

For your party mood, you can connect many JBL speakers. This way you can enjoy any kind of music or anything else from all the speakers at the same time.

This increases the audio level. But keep in mind that loud audio can cause damage to your ears.

There are three types of JBL speakers. You can’t connect these different types of speakers with each other. You can only connect between the same categories.

They’re:

  • JBL Connect Speakers
  • JBL Connect Plus Speakers
  • JBL Party Boost Speakers

I’ll teach you how to connect many JBL speakers for all these three types in detail.

Though there aren’t a lot of differences, for your help, I’ve explained them separately.

Method 1: For JBL Connect Speakers

Wanna know how to connect two JBL speakers together? Then, JBL Connect Speakers may help you.

Because through JBL Connect Speakers you can connect two speakers. You can only connect between these speakers.

There are some JBL connected speakers. They’re

  • JBL Flip 3
  • JBL Charge 3
  • JBL Pulse 2
  • JBL Clip

Here, I’ll tell you how to connect them.

Step 1: Switch on the Speakers

First, switch on the speakers you wanna connect. The “turn on” button is on the back or spine of the speakers.

Press it to turn on them. You can press it for a second if it doesn’t turn on.

You can also press it to turn it off. That’s how to turn off JBL speakers.

Step 2: Connect All the Speakers Via Bluetooth

Now, connect all the speakers to the same source via speakers that feature Bluetooth pairing.

First, you’ll need to push down the “Bluetooth” button. Look for the button at the left of the speakers. It’ll be solid blue after turning it on.

Open the Bluetooth settings from the device you’re using. It can be android, iPhone, Mac or windows, etc.

Search for available devices. Pair up with the speakers you want to connect.

If the “turn on” button is flashing blue, it means they’re searching for devices for pairing.

If the “turn on” button is in White, it means the speaker’s in the pairing process.

Is the “turn on” button solid blue? If yes, then it means the speaker’s a proper connection with the device.

That’s the process of how to connect the JBL speaker to the phone. The process’s the same if you wanna know how to connect a JBL speaker to an iPhone.

Step 3: Play Audio from the Connected Device

After pairing, play audio from the device. You can now play audio like songs, recordings, music players, etc.

You can hear the audio or song from only a speaker. That’s the primary speaker.

Step 4: Press ‘Connect’

Find the “Connect” button from the speaker. It looks like an hourglass. You can find it on the left side of the turn on/off button.

Now press the “Connect” button from the speaker that’s playing audio. Then follow the same step for the other speakers too.

That’s how you can connect two JBL speakers.

Method 2: For JBL Connect Plus Speakers

JBL Connect Plus Speakers are the advanced version of the JBL Connect Speakers.

Through JBL Connect Speakers, you can only connect two speakers. But through JBL Connect Plus Speakers you can link up to one hundred speakers together.

Some JBL Connect Plus Speakers are:

  • JBL Flip 4
  • JBL Xtreme 2
  • JBL Pulse 3
  • JBL Charge 4
  • JBL Boombox

Almost the process is the same here as JBL connect speakers. The sole dissimilarity is that there’s a “Connect Plus” button instead of a “connect” button. Pairing JBL Flip 4 is relatively easy.

Still, I’ve explained all the steps of connecting them below.

Step 1: Turn on the Speakers

Turn on the JBL Connect Plus speakers you want to connect as I’ve mentioned earlier. Follow the processes as JBL Connect Speakers.

Now, find the “Connect Plus” button on the speaker that’s playing audio. You’ll find it on the left side of the turn on/off button.

This button will look like an hourglass that has a plus on the upper side.

Now press that button on the speaker. After pressing, it’ll be blue. Now press the same for all the other speakers.

That’s how you can connect up to 100 speakers easily. Now all will play the audio at the same time.

Method 3: For JBL Party Boost Speakers

JBL Party Boost Speakers are the latest speakers of the JBL. You can easily link up to a maximum of 100 speakers for these speakers.

There are some differences here in the connection. The processes are easier and less time-consuming.

But for the connection, all of them should’ve got a “party boost” button. You can only connect a JBL Party Boost Speaker to another JBL Party Boost Speaker.

Some of the JBL Party Boost Speakers are:

  • JBL Flip 5
  • JBL Pulse 4
  • JBL Extreme 3
  • JBL Charge 5

Now I’ll tell you how to connect them.

Step 1: Turn on the Speakers

Press the “Switch/Turn on” button of those speakers you wanna link.

Step 2: Connect One of the Speakers

Connect one of the speakers with the device you want by using Bluetooth. Follow the steps I’ve shown you.

This is easy as you don’t have to connect all the speakers here to the device. You need to connect only one speaker here.

But your laptop doesn’t support Bluetooth?

Don’t worry. I’ll tell you how to connect a JBL speaker without Bluetooth. For this, you’ll need an aux cable. But both the computer and speaker should’ve got a cable input port.

Some are purely wireless speakers. You can’t connect them without a cable. So in that case, you’ll need a Bluetooth receiver.

Here, I’ve recommended some Bluetooth receivers for your help:
